Delhi Assembly winter session begins tomorrow

The Winter Session of Delhi Assembly is set to begin tomorrow for which the state government has lined up six Bills even as opposition BJP said it will try to corner the ruling AAP in the House over various issues, including the demand for introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill.
The second session of the Sixth Legislative Assembly, which starts at 2 PM tomorrow, will continue till November 28, said a senior Delhi government official.
Delhi government will introduce six Bills, including Code of Criminal Procedure Amendment Bill, Delhi School Education Amendment Bill and Minimum Wages Amendment Bill.
These Bills have been approved by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi Cabinet.

BJP, which has three MLAs in the 70-member House, has said it will raise various issues, including presentation of the recommendations of the Delhi Finance Commission report in the Assembly and corner the AAP government over it.
The party has also decided to hold demonstrations throughout the session to put pressure on the government to introduce the Jan Lokpal Bill and present the Finance Commission report in the Assembly.

Meanwhile, Delhi Congress, under the leadership of its president Ajay Maken, will hold a demonstration in front of Vidhan Sabha on the first day of the session to protest against "AAP government's failure" to bring the Jan Lokpal Bill, said party spokesman Pramod Kumar.

Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, BJP's Vijender Gupta has said that the party "will leave no stone unturned in the coming Delhi Assembly Session to shake the chief minister and his team out of inertia, insensitivity and lethargy.
"BJP will corner government on 10 issues of public importance, by introducing six private resolutions covering important public matters and raising 35 questions covering burning problems.
