Bank accounts of more than 31.63 lakh families have been opened under the scheme in the national capital.
"Bank accounts of 31,63,579 households have been opened in the national capital so far ever since the PMJDY was launched. With this, Delhi has completed 100 per cent enrolement under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, becoming the first territory in the country to achieve so," S N Sahay, secretary of Revenue Department, said.
The scheme envisages universal access to banking facilities with at least one basic account for every household with focus on financial literacy, access to credit, insurance and pension facility.
According to the department, it is currently working on E-Refund model under which money can be returned via online.
"Government will soon launch e-refund scheme in Delhi. Under this scheme, Delhiites, who have paid stamp duty and later wanted to get it back, can now be able to recover their paid money through online. This scheme will be launched in the next few days," said a senior official of the Revenue Department.
The official said that the department has also digitized the cadastrial maps for entire Delhi through GSDL and will soon initiate the process of integration of textual data with the baseline cadastral maps to create the complete GIS system for land record management. This project will now be replicated all over the NCR of Delhi.
It also said that the property transactions have been reduced in the last one decade due to various factors including the decline in property markets.
Giving details on illegal acid sale in the national capital, Sahay said that in the last two years, department have conducted 773 inspections and penalty was imposed in 16 cases and in which, department generated a fund of more than Rs 7 lakh.
