The Delhi government today agreed to construct an elevated road link from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur and make tax collection on NH-48 automatic to prevent traffic snarls.
A meeting was held on the issue of air pollution and stubble burning at the residence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here.
Khattar suggested his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal to construct an elevated road from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur to ensure smooth movement of traffic in the area.
Kejriwal said he would take personal interest in getting these works executed on a priority basis, a Haryana government statement said.
The two leaders discussed the acquisition and development of a 80m-wide link road in NCT Delhi to link Dwarka to the 150m-wide NPR in Gurgaon.
The road will provide an alternative route to traffic from Delhi and congestions on NH-8, it said.
