Delhi govt to take part in IITF

Delhi government has decided to organize an exhibition on "Women Entrepreneurship" during India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan this year.
Various departments of Delhi government will showcase the programmes, activities and achievements in IITF, which is scheduled to be held from November 14 to 27.
"Women entrepreneurs will be given opportunity to set up their stalls in the exhibition at Delhi Pavillion. This year's theme of IITF is "Women Entrepreneurship" and accordingly the departments have been asked to showcase their activities, policies and programs leading to women empowerment in a befitting manner suiting the concept and theme of the Fair," chief secretary D M Spolia said.
Advising the HODs to prepare for putting the exhibition, Spolia said that as a partner state, Delhi has to play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and giving the shape to Delhi pavilion befitting this year's theme.
Spolia has approved the date November 19 for 'Delhi Day' celebration.
"A cultural program will be organized by the Art and Culture Department and Sahitya Kala Parishad in consultation with Industries Department for 'Delhi Day', apart from installing a grand exhibition of rare photographs of women entrepreneurs right from 1947 to date," he said.
The chief secretary has told the departments that focus should be given on women specific programs being undertaken including issues relating with women safety.
