The selection was made by Lonely Planet Magazine for the current year.
"The best destination for food and drink award is an extremely prestigious award for Delhi and we are very happy about it," said Manish Chatrath, Chairman of Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) which is a Delhi government entity.
The Lonely Planet Magazine invited the country's elite travelers to choose their favorite destinations and most favoured travel experiences. The awards were shortlisted by a panel of travel experts and professionals.
