Four police officials including a trainee DSP Srinivas and sub-inspector Ramana Kumar were in Delhi to attend a recruitment interview and were put up at room number 404 of Godavari Block on the Telangana floor of AP Bhavan, New Delhi, Additional DGP (Law and Order) Sudeep Laktakia said in a release.
"The trainee DSP's weapon misfired while being cleaned and a bullet hit the sub-inspector in his thigh. He was shifted to a nearby hospital and is said to be out of danger. The Delhi police sealed the room and is investigating the incident," the police official said.
