Demonstration held in Sonitpur

Over 500 people came out to stage a demonstration in front of Charduar Police Station in Assam's Sonitpur district to protest against a suspected NDFB (Ranjan faction) militant who was severely beating up a businessmen tonight, police said.
The protesting local people of No. 4 Bogijuli demanded that the police nab the culprit who beat up small grocery store owner Mrigen Medhi, theey said.
The National Democratic Front Of Boroland had demanded Medhi make payment of their 'tax' demand of Rs 5000 which he unable to pay today, the sources said.
Medhi has been rushed to hospital, they added.
