Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said violence cannot bring solutions to any problem, and development alone can fulfill the aspirations of people.
"Violence is not the solution of any problem. The people's aspirations can only be fulfilled with effective implementation of developmental programmes, bringing in qualitative change in their lives," Soren said, referring to solutions to control Left-wing extremism through development.
Addressing the 68th Independence Day after unfurling the tricolour at Mohrabadi ground here, he said his government's aim was to accelerate the process of development works covering all sections of the society, particularly, backward, dalit, the deprived, tribals and minorities and give them their legitimate rights, which could solve the problem of extremism.
Stating that his government has taken developmental programmes to the rural areas, he said the government has decided to set up 1000 "agriculture tool bank" by this fiscal.
He said the industries set up in the state have the responsibility to provide employment in non-technical jobs to local people, adding that success of industries depended how sensitive they were to the people residing around the industries.
He said the Food Security Act is being implemented, under which 2.65 crore people would be the beneficiaries.
The government has also proposed to set up Women Help Line to deal with atrocities and exploitation against the women, he said, adding the government was committed to initiate the process in recruiting more women in the police force.
