DHFL Pramerica Life appoints Anoop Pabby as MD

Private sector DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance Co today appointed Anoop Pabby as managing director of the company.
Pabby has over 25 years of experience in the retail financial services sector including as MD of Deutsche Postbank Home Finance Ltd and President-Strategic Initiatives at Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd.
DHFL Pramerica Life Insurance is a joint venture between Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd, and US-based Prudential International Insurance Holdings.

Fortis Malar Q4 net up 85.33 pc at Rs 2.78 cr * Fortis Malar Hospitals today reported 85.33 per cent increase in its standalone net profit at Rs 2.78 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2014.
The company had posted standalone net profit of Rs 1.5 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago, the company said in a BSE filing.
Fortis Malar's net income from operations in the quarter under review stood at at Rs 27.02 crore, up 12.63 per cent as against Rs 23.99 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Shares of Fortis Malar closed at Rs 28.45 on the BSE, up 5.18 per cent from its previous close.

New CDI facility operationalised in RSP
Rourkela: A new Coal Dust Injection (CDI) facility was operationalised at the 4060 cum Blast Furnace and the 3rd Turbo blower in the Power Blowing Station (PBS) of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
The CDI unit will reduce the cost of production in the largest Blast Furnace in the country at the RSP by injecting non-coking coal for reducing coke rate, a press release issued by RSP said today.
These units are part of the massive Rs 12,000 crore modernisation and expansion project which would more than double RSP's capacity from 2.0 Mtpa of crude steel to 4.2 Mtpa, sources said.
