Diesel loco simulator to be set up in Railway Gallery

Japan's super fast bullet train, Delhi Metro and the country's first rail engine along with various train-related trivia will be on display at Science City near here.
The railway gallery in Pushpa Gujral Science city, located in Kapurthala, is also set to get a diesel loco simulator which will allow visitors to experience the wonders of the Indian Railways.
"Work is on to make the railway gallery technologically advanced and attractive. Visitors to the gallery can enjoy the experience of train journeys with the diesel loco simulator," R S Khandpur, Director General of Science City said.
"The persons inside the simulator will virtually travel through tunnels, over big bridges, winding roads and mountains," he said.

The machine for the simulator has arrived at the museum, he said, adding, a part of the shooting for the film which will be shown to persons inside the simulator is remaining.
"Models of Japan's bullet train and Delhi metro will also be set up at the gallery, besides information on how TTs, station masters etc work," he said.
When asked that the railway gallery was announced two years ago, he said work was almost 95 per cent complete, and will likely open for public in May.
