Discharge from Mettur for irrigation stopped

: Discharge from the Mettur dam for irrigation was stopped at 1000 hrs today following heavy rains in the delta areas, PWD sources said.
The water level in the dam stood at 101.44 feet against its full level of 120 feet. The inflow was 5970 cusecs, they said.
