Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar claimed here Thursday that some disgruntled senior leaders of the ruling BJP were in touch with the Congress.
Four MLAs -- three from NCP and one from Congress -- joined the BJP on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media here, Wadettiwar said, "BJP has started hunting and trapping senior opposition leaders. But many BJP and Shiv Sena leaders are unhappy.
"The BJP had once called the NCP a party of "Alibaba and forty thieves", but now the BJP is welcoming senior NCP senior leaders into the party," he said.
"A section of unhappy senior BJP leaders are waiting for a chance and are in touch with Congress. The doors of Congress will always be open for such leaders," he added.
