"For the past two days, news is that elections to the state Assembly will be called in advance. The people expect that and are awaiting polls. Elections should happen early, let us prepare," Stalin said while addressing a public meeting here.
"To teach a lesson to this ruthless benami regime and to usher in a peaceful rein, let us prepare [from] today itself and take a vow to solve people's problems," he said.
A few days ago, Tamil Nadu government had said the drinking water scheme will be implemented very soon.
School Education Minister KC Veeramani, hailing from Vellore district had said "the opposition had organised protest only after knowing that the plan will be implemented very soon, to claim later that the drinking water scheme was put in place after their agitation."
Tamil Nadu government is selling packaged drinking water in pet bottles at a cost of Rs 10 under "Amma Drinking Water."
However, the DMK has been targeting the ruling party on this scheme as well by claiming that "government should not sell water.
