A doctor and an engineer were arrested on charges of robbery in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district, police said on Tuesday.
They were arrested on Monday for allegedly robbing a trader last week. The accused have confessed of having robbed petrol pump owners in the past, according to police.
Police said they have recovered the Rs 1,30,000 robbed from the trader at gun point from his shop.
To hide their faces, the accused used to wear helmets and after committing a robbery, escaped on a motorcycle, they said, adding that the motorcycle and two pistols have been seized from them.
Senior Superintendent of Police Abhishekh said the additional director general of police has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the police team that solved the crime.
