The medics resorted to cease work after miscreants assaulted a doctor on December 13 midnight while on duty.
Police arrested two persons in connection with the case.
One IRBn personnel attached with a MLA as PSO was arrested last night along with one of his associates, based on CCTV footage provided by the hospital authority, Itanagar PS OC T Bage said today.
The OC said that the accused have confessed to have committed the crime.
Home Minister Tanga Byaling visited the hospital yesterday and assured the agitating doctors for providing adequate security besides establishment of a permanent police beat near the casualty ward.
He also apprised the doctors that strict action would be taken against the culprits as per the law.
Additional District Magistrate Talo Potom, who also visited the hospital, assured full support from his side.
The association meanwhile, expressed its gratitude to the media for its support to the cause of the doctors and also lauded the capital administration and police for prompt action in arresting the culprits.
The association also thanked All Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association, Heema and Niba hospitals for their solidarity and support.
The association also hoped that a stringent law would be enacted by the government against the offenders.
