After demolishing Colombia with a power-packed performance, Germany coach Christian Wueck is not at all perturbed about the prospects of a possible face-off with title contenders Brazil in the quarter-final of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Germany today outclassed Colombia 4-0in their round of 16 match here and in the quarterfinals in Kolkata on October 22, they meet the winner of the pre quarterfinals match on October 18 in Kochi between Brazil and Honduras.
"It does not matter whether it is Brazil or Honduras. It is a very high level tournament and we can deal with any team," Wueck said at the post-match press conference.
"Three-four players are injured and one is going to hospital (for a check-up). (Yannik) Keitel was injured so he did not play today. I hope everybody gets fit in five days," he added.
Germany played the best match of the tournament today as they completely toyed wth the Colombian defence and could have won by a bigger margin but Wueck said that his side can do better in the next game.
"We are improving every match. We did better against Guinea after the loss to Iran. Today, we made further improvement. So we will be even playing better in the next match," said the coach.
"Our defence has been doing very well also got a lot of scoring chances but we are not converting them. We did better today (in scoring goals) but we need to do even better."
Asked about his side's shock loss to Iran in their second group match, he said, "It was a black day against Iran. But we have put that loss aside.
