Insurgents have attacked a police headquarters in northern Afghanistan, carrying out two suicide attacks and wounding at least one policeman.
Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi says today's assault in Kunduz province began with a suicide car bomb attack followed by a suicide bomber on foot and a shootout in which three more attackers were killed.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban insurgents have stepped up their attacks on Afghan soldiers and police in recent months.
US and NATO forces concluded their combat mission at the end of last year and Afghan troops took charge from January 1.
