According to the draft electoral roll, the total number of voters are 6,67,29,914 of which 3,44,25,200 are men and the rest 3,23,03,726 are women.
Third gender electors were counted at 988.
The CEO said that the draft electoral roll was published on August 22 immediately after which claims and objections were received. They would be received till September 10, this year.
The process would continue till September 13, 2017 and the final electoral rolls would be published on January 5, 2018, Aftab said.
As per the Election Commission guidelines, the draft voter lists will be made available in all the polling booths and in the offices of the sub-divisional and district magistrates of the state except in three Assembly constituencies under Darjeeling district, he said.
Altogether, 77,354 polling stations are there in West Bengal, where elector photo rolls was 100 per cent ready and 100 per cent electors were issued Election Photo Identity Card (EPIC), the CEO said.
