Recovery officer B S Sane had demanded the amount after he released a payment in favour of the complainant's client, said the official.
The officer asked the complainant to make the bribe payment through a cheque which was to be handed over to a person, identified as Vijay, said the official.
The complainant then approached CBI which laid a trap at the DRT's Mumbai office and arrested Sane and Vijay, the official said.
They conducted searches at Sane's office and residence, in which papers of fixed deposits of Rs 65 lakh, Kisan Vikas Patra of Rs 9 lakh and property documents were recovered, he said.
The arrested accused were remanded to police custody till June 28, he said.
