Drugs worth Rs 10 Cr smuggled from Pak seized

BSF today seized two kg heroin worth Rs 10 crore in street market from near Border Out Post (BoP) Sheela in this sector.
BSF troops deployed in the area of BoP Sheela saw some suspicious movement of two miscreants near International Boundary throwing some packet over Border Security Fence, BSF said in an official release here.
BSF troops challenged them, but they did not pay any heed and continued with their posture.
To stop their misadventure and sensing danger to their life, own troops opened fire on them in self defence, the release said.
However, the miscreants managed to escape taking cover of darkness and high standing crops.

During search of the area two packets of contraband (heroin) were recovered from Indian side of Border Security fence track, it said.
