An inebriated Kolkata-bound passenger today created a ruckus at the domestic airport after being refused boarding pass for a flight as he had tickets of a different airline, sources said.
He also allegedly hit a senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official, who tried to intervene in the matter.
Airport authorities said the drunk man got into a heated argument with an Air India official, who refused to give him a boarding pass as he had a ticket of a different airline.
The man also allegedly assaulted a senior CISF official, who tried to pacify him.
As the passenger was found to be drunk, he was detained by the airport police and his relatives were informed, authorities said.
Police were yet to file a case against him, they added.
