"We had submitted two to three schedules to conduct the session among which May 22 was finalised," Gurpreet Singh Tuteja, deputy dean of students welfare said.
The counselling session, also known as Open Days, will continue till May 31 at the Conference Centre, Gate No 4, North Campus from 10 am to 1 pm, said a release issued by the university registrar.
University of Delhi had also announced its admission schedule of PhD., MPhil., postgraduate and undergraduate programmes for the new academic session.
While admissions to merit-based undergraduate programmes will begin on May 22, for entrance-based courses, PG, MPhil and PhD programmes it will begin on May 31.
