Indian Super League football club Delhi Dynamos will undergo pre-season training in Sweden from tomorrow as part of their preparations for the second edition beginning in October.
The team, which will be based in Gothenburg, will play three friendly games while in Sweden, including against one club which currently plays at the top-tier of the Swedish football league system.
Delhi Dynamos full squad will begin training tomorrow before they play against Varberg BoIS FC, a second tier club, on September 4 and then take on BK Hacken, which plays at Allsvenskan -- Sweden's highest football league-- on September 10.
They last pay against Skene IF, a division 3 side, on September 13.
Indian players of the Dynamos squad will be landing together in Sweden while marquee manager and player Roberto Carlos and other support staff will arrive as one batch today. The likes of Florent Malouda and John Arne Riise will also be joining the team.
The trip to Sweden has been sponsored by Kshatriya Sports AB, Gothenburg Komun and Kviberg Hotel, Holmgren Bil AB and Sohlbergs Buss AB.
"Sweden is a beautiful country who play outstanding football. It's heartening to see that all my friends have come together to support the dream of bringing Delhi Dynamos to Sweden, sponsoring us in every way they can and help promoting Indian football worldwide. We just hope to learn as much as we can and let this experience be the best we've ever had," said Prashant Agarwal, President of the club, in a release.
