Vashisht was reviewing the law and order situation in the state in a meeting with all SPs, IGs and police commissioners through video conferencing here.
To keep a check on theft of vehicle in the National Capital Region (NCR), the DGP asked the Commissioners of Police and SSPsof Gurgaon and Faridabad to prepare a joint strategy in this regard and said that for this extra force would be provided to them.
He said that an intensive campaign should be launched in the state to nab the proclaimed offenders.
The DGP said that to keep a check on the incidents of chain snatching and eve teasing, police personnel should be deployed at the nakas and crowded places in civil dress.
Vashisht directed the senior field functionaries of the police department to ensure speedy disposal of pending cases concerning different crimes on priority basis.
