East Delhi, New Delhi suffer traffic snarls due to Janata

Several parts of East Delhi and New Delhi today witnessed sever traffic snarls due to a protest rally of activists of regrouped Janata Parivar heading towards Jantar Mantar.
Among the areas where the snarls were reported are Ghazipur, Akshardham, ITO Junction and Minto Road in the heart of the national capital.
In all approach roads towards ITO, the traffic jams lasted till evening and some commuters were stuck there for as long as 45 minutes.
According to police, at ITO, additional traffic police officials had to be deployed to bring the situation under control.
The protest rally created a bottleneck at the Ghazipur border area, whose ripple effect was felt on the entire NH 24 stretch till Meerut.
