Saswata, who was introduced to six kids of distressed background at the Child in Need Institute (CINI), pointed out the need for proper rehabilitation of the trafficked children after rescue work.
"The follow-up surveillance and sensitisation on part of the family and neighbours are crucial. The police should also be sensitised," Sasawata, a.K.A Shabar Dasgupta busting a crime against woman in the film, said.
The archetypal Ajit in 'Byomkesh Phire Elo' was visibly moved while mingling with six children - aged between six to 14 years - at the global NGO's city shelter.
"To laud their efforts of courage, the CINI Calendar 2015 features paintings that have been done by children who are survivors of trafficking. We are proud to be part of the initiative," Saswata said.
