Zutshi, who was here to review the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, said the Election Commission would maintain a close vigil on the expenditure of candidates.
Expressing satisfaction over preparations for the Lok Sabha elections in the state, he said the final electoral roll would be published on January 31, and its soft and hard copy would be provided to all political parties.
On the guidelines to the states regarding postings and transfers of officers in view of the upcoming polls, the Deputy Election Commissioner said the chief secretaries are expected to follow the directive and have been asked to submit a compliance report by February 15.
