Enforcement Directorate seized an over 110-acre land and a flat belonging to terminated IAS couple Arvind and Tinoo Joshi here today.
The land is situated in five districts of Bhopal, Umaria, Raisen, Sehore and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh.
The terminated IAS couple allegedly purchased these lands in the name of Harsh Kohli, Seemant Kohli and other names to convert black money into white money, an ED official said.
Their 610-sq foot flat is situated in Patel Nagar area of Bhopal which was also purchased in the name of some other persons.
The case was registered against the Joshi couple by ED in 2011 under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
Income-Tax authorities raided the couple's official residence in 2010 and recovered over Rs 3 crore of unaccounted cash, besides other properties.
The couple was terminated from the service in July this year.
