Edible and non-edible oils slip on reduced demand

Groundnut oil prices fell further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein also declined due to lack of retail demand.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slipped on subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers.
Linseed oil maintained stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 770 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 775 and refined palmolein eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 536 as against Rs 541 yesterday.

Moving to non-edible section, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 4,185 from Rs 4,200 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 867 as compared to Rs 870 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 760 per 10 kg.
