Edible, non-edibles fall on sluggish demand

Groundnut oil prices fell at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today due to lower demand from stockists and retailers amid fresh arrivals from producing belts.
Refined palmolein also eased further on lower retail buying support.
Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial slid further following subdued offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil maintained a stable trend in the absence of any major buying from paint and allied industries.
In the edible section, groundnut oil declined by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 1,010 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,020 and refined palmolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 565.

Moving non-edible segment, castorseeds bold slipped Rs 35 per 100 kg to Rs 4,800 from overnight level of Rs 4,835 and castor oil commercial moved down by Rs 990 as against Rs 997 previously. Linseed oil closed unchanged at 780 per 10 kg.
