Refined palmolein also firmed up on consistent demand from retailers.
Castorseed bold and castor oil commercial recovered due to good demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, linseed oil slipped due to subdued demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 980 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 975 and refined palmolein edged up by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 492 as against Rs 491.
Among the non-edibles, castorseeds bold gained Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,950 from Rs 3,925 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 820 as compared to Rs 815 previously.
