"Tight security arrangements will be in place for the five-day festival beginning with Dhanteras. As many as 2,000 additional policemen will be deployed in the commissionerate area whereas the number of additional police officers and policemen will be 3,000 on Diwali on October 23," Jaipur Police Commissioner Srinivas Rao Janga said today.
He informed that senior officers will be doing patrolling and keep strict vigil during the festival season so that no untoward incident takes place.
The deployment of additional policemen will be made in crowded places and markets.
