The nine-year-old schoolboy, who was out for playing with his friends, was lured by the elderly man, identified as M A with cold drink and two Dirham (USD 0.54) into the rooftop of a building where he abused him inside a room in May.
Two Bangladeshi cleaners spotted the elderly man dragging the boy into the building and chased him. They finally end up foiling his attempt to rape the boy, Gulf News reported yesterday.
Dubai Court yesterday jailed the defendant M A, who pleaded not guilty, for two years for sexually abusing the boy and three months for getting drunk.
"I spotted the man exposing himself and trying to force the boy to please him. The child seemed terrified." said one of the Bangladeshi cleaners who testified in court.
