The live high tension wire fell on the truck at Ramsoo area of Ramban district resulting in electrocution of driver Liyaqat Ali today, a police official said.
The death triggered protests on the highway, with protesters blaming the Power department for negligence.
Following the blockade, there was a heavy traffic jam on the highway, he said.
A case was registered in this connection and probe is on, police said.
