"Emirates NBD...Announced the launch of an innovative funds remittance service 'DirectRemit2 Mobile' that enables account holders in the UAE to transfer funds to any registered mobile phone number in India," Emirates NBD said in a statement.
The remittance service allows money transfers in 60 seconds to the beneficiary's account through the DirectRemit platform, it said.
Emirates NBD has partnered with Empays Payment Systems India and Axis Bank for the service.
Customers will have to log-in into their Emirates NBD mobile banking and provide the mobile number of the intended beneficiary.
