'Empress of Rome' wins Madras Gold vase

'Empress of Rome' ridden by jockey S Kabdhar and trained by R Foley today won the Madras Gold Vase, the chief event of the races held here today.
The winner is owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy Chettiar of Chettinad.
Trainer Foley saddled two winners while jockey C Umesh rode two winners.
Two favourites obliged in a card of eight events.
