A team of officials, led by Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Dharmesh Ramotra, today removed encroachments from the road square area, near the HPCA cricket stadium and the temporary building of the Central University.

The SDO said the encroachers, mostly food vendors, were removed with a warning, adding that the encroachments were disrupting traffic in the area.

The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) authorities were also instructed to open the stadium's gate number 1 instead of gate number 2, the approach to which was through several education institutions, Ramotra added.
