Deputy Commissioner of Police M Ravi Prakash told reporters here on Tuesday that a second year engineering student Battula Vijay (19) formed a group with some other youths and was involved in many chain snatching cases in the city.
About 15 chain snatching cases had been filed against the four youth in various police stations in the city.
Chintagunat Srinivasarao, Pasupuleti Nagavaraprasad and Veerendra Reddy are the others arrested by the police.
