Engineering student found hanging at hostel room

A second year engineering girl student of a private University in Ettimadai on the ourskits was found hanging from the ceiling fan and also with a deep cut on her wrist, in the hostel room, police said today.
Room mates saw 19-year-old Lena, hailing from Kannur in Kerala, talking over cellphone for long in the night and suddenly went to the room in a huff and bolted the door from inside, police said.
The hostel warden, during a routine check,had no response from Lena's room when knocked at the door and she peeped through the window only to find the student hanging from the ceiling fan. She immediately informed the management and the police, they said.

Police recovered the body with a cut on the wrist and also blood strewn on the ground.
Based on the last telephone call the girl reportedly made, investigations were on in different angles if there was any love affair or family problem, police added.
