In his presidential address on the occasion of the opening of Employees' State Insurance Corporation Sub-regional office here, Suresh said if land was available, it was proposed to set up a 100 bed high-tech hospital.
The ESI medical college in Mavellikara would become a reality in 2016, he said. Setting up a Mine safety office at Kollam was also under consideration. Functioning of ESI would be expanded, he said.
Speaking after inaugurating the Office, Union Minister of State for HRD Shashi Tharoor welcomed the ESI decision to enter the medical science field.
