According to the complainant, Singh was residing as a tenant in a house owned by her at Rajpura in north-west Delhi.
"She had gone to demand rent from the former MLA when he along with a friend allegedly tore her clothes and then threatened her with a knife," said a police official.
An FIR in this regard was registered yesterday on charges of assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty and criminal intimidation under sections 354 and section 506 of IPC, he added.
