The development is a result of a tie-up between sports management firm Anglian Management Group and leading UK-based firm Legion Football Advisory.
"As part of the tie-up, ex-England National Team Goalkeeper, World Cup star and Legion client David James will participate in Upcoming Indian Super League and provide his expertise to the national team as well as upcoming Indian players," Anglian Holdings said in a release.
Anglian Holdings also holds stake in I-League club Shillong Lajong, which also co-owns the Guwahati ISL franchise.
Legion has worked with the Football Association, as well as clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Fulham.
They have represented over 100 professional players including Phil Jones, Theo Walcott, Fabrice Muamba, Ryan Bertrand and James.
They have worked with renowned coaches and technical directors such as ex-England national team coach Steve McClaren and Eduardo Macia of top Serie A side Fiorentina.
"Legion has a proven track-record in working with multiple organisations and people to raise the standard of the sport, first in the UK and then across Europe."
Colin Gordon, Director of Legion, said, "We are proud and happy with our new partnership with Anglian. Having been intimately connected with the recent revolution and professionalisation of the sport in the UK over the past 20 years and then in Europe, we are excited to put our experiences to good use in a country such as India which is on the cusp of reaching a new level.
