A special vigilance court here today extended the judicial custody of former Ranchi mayor Rama Khalkho by another two weeks.
Judge ABK Sinha passed the orders in Khalkho's presence after hearing arguments on her bail petition.
He directed the vigilance bureau to place the case diary before court and fixed June 14 as the next date of hearing.
Khalkho had on June 4 surrendered to court which had then sent her to 14 days' judicial remand.
She had been absconding after the court of the judicial magistrate issued arrest warrants on April 9 following an FIR against her and two others on the basis of the seizure of Rs 21.9 lakh from a hotel on April 7.
The FIR alleged that the cash was allegedly meant to fund electoral malpractices, prompting the state election commission to scrap the April 8 mayoral polls.
The two others arrested in the case have been identified as Niranjan Shah and Sudhir Kumar Sahu.
