Exide Q3 net up 25% at Rs 97.23 crore

Battery manufacturer Exide Industries today reported a 25.42% increase in its net profit at Rs 97.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 77.52 crore in the same period last fiscal, it said in a BSE filing.

Net sales during the period under review stood at Rs 1,557.9 crore as against Rs 1,301.41 crore in the year-ago period.

The company said during the quarter its cost of raw materials consumed increased by 4.6% to Rs 967.91 crore as against Rs 925.22 crore in the same period last fiscal.
