Explosives found in Manipur

Security forces have found a cache of explosives near a culvert at Ningthoukhong Kha Khunou in Manipur's Bishnupur district, Army officials said today.
A team of J&K Light Infantry found 16 packets of gelatin sticks, 13 packets of ball bearings, 8 detonators and 10 metre wire from the spot, they said.
Police bomb experts recovered the explosives yesterday and disposed them today, the officials said.
Security has been beefed up in various parts of the state following recovery of the explosives, a police official said.
