Fadnavis does 'bhumipujan' for housing project in Solapur

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today performed the sod turning ceremony (bhumipujan) for a housing project under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) at Barshi in Solapur district.
"This is the first project of state where private partner has joined hands with GoI (government of India) & GoM (government of Maharashtra) for 'Housing For All' scheme for the economically weaker sections," Fadnavis said.
"Total 860 houses to be built... Are for the citizens with an income less than Rs 3 lakh and all houses will be allotted to the female member of the family," the CM tweeted.
