Faisal and Jennifer clinch U-19 singles titles at CBSE event

Faisal Qamar and Jennifer emerged Under-19 boys and girls singles champions respectively at the CBSE national tennis championship, here today.
Faisal from St. Joseph Public School in Rajasthan edged past Chinmaya from Sarla Devi School in Noida 6-4 6-4 at the Billabong High International School.
Jennifer from Little Angels School in Sonipat defeated Gauri from M M Public School in Pitampura 4-2 4-2 in the girls final.
In the boys U-14 category, Kanishk Pal of M.M. Public School, Pitampura outplayed Anurag of Little Angels, Sonipat 4-1 4-1 while Deepa Laxmi (DAV Chennai) beat Sanskriti (DPS Bangalore) 4-2 4-2 in the girls summit clash.
DPS Hyderabad beat Little Angels Sonipat 2-1 to win the boys U-14 team event while M.M. Public School Pitampura won the Boys U-19 Team title beating St. Joseph Tonk 2-0.
SBOA Chennai beat DPS Bangalore 2-1 in the final of the Girls U-14 category while Little Angels Sonipat beat DAV Chennai 2-0 to clinch the Girls U-19 Team title.
"We are committed to supporting the cause of sports and promote a sporting culture among the youth of India and hope to continue to host many such events in the future. Our best wishes to all the winners,"Jasmine Gandhi, Chairman of the Billabong High International said.
A total of 56 schools with more than 350 players from India and the Gulf countries of Oman, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates competed in the championship.
