Jaswant Singh (42), Baljeet Singh (59) and Parvinder Singh (36) were arrested by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) from Rohini area in West Delhi yesterday.
"They travelled in white Gypsy, carried wireless sets, fake ID cards and also wore CISF uniforms so as to convince their victims that they actually worked in CISF. They had even set up a fake CISF website.
"They used to target unemployed youth with the promise of getting them employed in CISF. They usually picked up victims while travelling on trains," said a senior police officer.
"She was given a fake appointment letter and told to join the CISF National Training Center in Hyderabad. However, when she reached Hyderabad, she came to know that the said letter was fake," the officer said.
The trio had duped at least 6 people this year and 11 in 2012. Apart from this, as many as 23 victim's applications were under process from whom they had taken token money, police said.
