Farmers to float political party for UP polls: peasant body

A UP-based farmers' body has said thatit will launch a political partynext week, seeking to contest the state Assembly polls slated for 2017.
A group of farmers affliated to us, will launch the party on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on December 23 at the Jantar Mantar in the national capital, Rashtriya Kisan Mazdoor Sangathan's President, B N Singh told reporters yesterday.
He alleged that political parties and its leaders were "not farmer-friendly."
He also said that the new party would contest in the 2017 Assembly elections in UP.
