Abdullah, accompanied by NC provisional president Devender Singh Rana and leaders from Nowshera, Sunderbani and Kalakote constituencies of Rajouri district, flagged the delay in setting up administrative units, which were sanctioned by the previous government in 2014, officials said.
"It was complained that the government has so far been taking the position in the state Assembly that new administrative units will be set up when the required funds become available," the spokesperson said.
He informed that the delegation also underlined the need for an additional deputy commissioner at a suitable agreed station to look after this entire area.
Residents of the three sub-divisions are on an indefinite strike since February 16 in support of their demand for the sanction of additional deputy commissioner's post.
Vohra assured the delegation that he would discuss their demands with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, the official said.
The delegation also complained about the "unilateral" decision of the state government to post an additional deputy commissioner to supervise the functioning of the Kotranka sub-division in Rajouri district, he added.
